Tales from the Umbrella Academy: You Look Like Death is an American comic book miniseries created by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon. It is a spinoff of The Umbrella Academy by Dark Horse Comics. The series is illustrated by I.N.J. Culbard, the covers designed by the original series' co-creator Gabriel Bá, and lettering was overseen by Nate Piekos.
When 18-year-old Klaus gets himself kicked out of the Umbrella Academy and his allowance discontinued, he heads to a place where his ghoulish talents will be appreciated--Hollywood. |The Hollywood Gods reveal why the once-famous Vivian Clarke was blacklisted, and Klaus sees a side of Vivian that scares even him. Business is booming at the underground vampire amusement park--funhouse mirrors don't really work for the undead, but the bobbing-for-apples-in-blood-station is a hit. The vampire chimp boss discovers that Klaus could serve him better alive than dead.|
|Klaus travels into the Void in search of the dead wife of the vampire chimp boss. While he's there, Klaus's author friend provides dangerous insight about want-to-be-starlet, Vivian. Vivian bombs a rehearsal, but it's the cast and crew that really suffer.|
|With funding from the Hollywood Gods, Klaus directs his new film, starring ageing starlet Vivian Clarke, in a longshot attempt to rein in her evil, while finding some peace for his doomed author friend. But the real ace in hole may be the vampire chimp lord who's put a price on Klaus's head.|
