Synopsis[]
Reginald goes all out to convince the children to sign in on his plan. Five tries to recover a drunken memory. Allison has a change of heart.
Plot[]
SPOILERS AHEAD[]
During Luther's time on the moon, he discovers a geo fence that blocks him from investigating further. On the other side of the fence is Abigail Hargreeves, Reginald's deceased wife, whom he placed inside a cryogenic chamber, with Luther unknowingly being tasked with protecting her.
At present, Reginald calls a family meeting, where he explains that he built the Hotel Obsidian around a portal that leads to the Hotel Oblivion. He believes the answer to saving the universe lies within the alternate hotel, which requires seven people to ring seven bells that a Guardian protects. Allison, Klaus, Lila, and Ben vote to follow Reginald's plan, but Diego, Viktor, Luther, Sloane, and Five outvote them and choose to stay.
Allison apologizes to Luther and Viktor, but Viktor believes she is manipulating him. Five remembers Allison was the one who made the deal with Reginald the night before. Luther meets with Reginald in the White Buffalo Suite, where Reginald apologizes to Luther for his past treatment of the family. Suddenly, Reginald murders Luther and blames it on the Guardian, telling him the only way to bring a family together is at a wedding or a funeral.
As the Kugelblitz begins to consume the hotel, the siblings and Reginald flee through the secret passage into the Hotel Oblivion. However, Reginald leaves Klaus behind, telling him he is too much of a liability. To ensure he goes to the afterlife, Klaus impales himself on the horn of the white buffalo and dies.
