The Scientific Man is a mysterious figure who watches over the Hotel Oblivion.
While fighting its escapees, he says that he was once mortal, imperfect and fragile. This implies that he no longer considers himself to be these things. He is seemingly a parody of Watchmen's Doctor Manhattan.
After the prisoners of Hotel Oblivion are set free, he fights the escapees, Perseus, and the Umbrella Academy. He appears to be on a side all of his own, and his motives are unclear apart from his assertion that "Man is a disease."[1]
When Allison explains the Scientific Man to Number Five, she says that he was, "After your time." Implying that Allison has met him before in some capacity.[2]
Scientific Man seems to be a prisoner of The Hotel, though with more privileges than the other guests, which he is likely afforded in exchange for watching for escapees.[3]
