Sarah-Beth was an Amish woman from Pennsylvania, United States. She was the sister of Rachel Herschberger, and in the original timeline, the maternal aunt of Klaus Hargreeves.

Biography

Sarah-Beth lived in an Amish community in Pennsylvania, United States. On October 1, 1989, her sister, Rachel Herschberger was accidentally killed by Harlan Cooper's power. It is unknown what events followed her sisters death, but as of 2019, Sarah-Beth had collected a journal of information on the 26 other woman who had been killed by Harlan alongside Rachel. She seemed to have collected the contents of her journal in secret, as the men of the community she lived in were dismissive of her sisters death, seeming to deem it as 'too distressing' for Sarah-Beth to discuss with anyone.^{[citation needed]}

On April 3rd, 2019, Sara-Beth was approached by Klaus Hargreeves, who mistook her for his mother. Klaus asked her if she knew where Rachel was, before she could answer they were interrupted by a man who told Klaus he had to leave. Klaus got into a brief argument with the man before walking off.^{[citation needed]}

She was later approached by Klaus again, while she was collecting wood in the forest by herself. He once again asked her if she knew Rachel, and where she was now, to which she told him that she was her sister, and that Rachel had died of a brain hemorrhage over thirty years ago. Klaus asked for the exact date, and was visibly distressed when Sarah-Beth told him it was the same date as his birth. They then heard yelling in the distance, and Klaus ran, being chased off by several angry Amish men.^{[citation needed]}

Sarah-Beth found Klaus again before he was about to leave, she gave him her journal, and told him there something unusual about her sister’s death, and that there were others like her. She then cupped his face and told Klaus he had Rachel’s eyes, before yelling for him to leave.^{[citation needed]}

The exact fate of Sarah-Beth is unknown, though it is likely she was Kugelblitzed sometime between April 4th and April 10th along with the rest of the population.^{[citation needed]}

Personality

Not much is known about Sarah-Beths personality. Based on her brief interactions with Klaus, she seemed to be a caring, humorous woman, who cared deeply for her sister. She also seemed to be very smart and intuitive, as she realized the connection between the 27 woman who all died of supposed sudden brain hemorrhages on October 1st, 1989, and was determined to help Klaus figure out what exactly caused her sister and the others deaths, despite the men of her community wishing for her to stay away from him. She as well seemed to realize Klaus's relation to her and Rachel, which only fueled her determination to help him.^{[citation needed]}
