Patrick is Allison's ex-husband and the father to her daughter Claire. One year before the current events, he caught Allison using her ability on Claire to get her to sleep when she was having a tantrum. This led to him filing for divorce and getting sole custody of Claire. It is implied that Allison had also used her ability to make him love her.
