Synopsis[]

Plot[]

SPOILERS AHEAD

Viktor, Diego, Allison, Five, Lila, Ben, Sloane, and Reginald travel through the secret passage and into the Hotel Oblivion, where Reginald falsely says that the Kugelblitz has consumed Klaus. As the siblings converse in the lobby, Five tells Viktor that he believes Allison is involved in Reginald's plan. As the siblings split up to search the hotel, Reginald summons the three Guardians to attack them.

Five pressures Allison to reveal the truth, who tells Viktor she made a deal with Reginald, but had no part in the deaths of Luther and Klaus. Five, Ben, and Sloane work together to defeat one of the Guardians, while Viktor and Lila work together to kill another. In the afterlife, Luther convinces a reluctant Klaus to return to the living world. Klaus returns and exposes Reginald's treachery. Five discovers the sigil of the Seven Bells on the lobby floor, but the last remaining Guardian arrives and severs his arm. The Guardian heavily injures Klaus and nearly kills Sloane, but Klaus conjures Luther as a ghost.

Luther fights back and briefly reunites with Sloane before he disappears due to Klaus' death. Klaus returns to life before Viktor, Diego, Klaus, Five, Lila, Ben, and Sloane step on the Seven Stars, killing the remaining Guardian. Reginald drains the siblings' powers to charge the reset button. Realizing this process is killing them, Allison kills Reginald and hits the reset button, destroying the Kugelblitz and restoring the universe.

In the reset universe, Allison reunites with Claire and Raymond, who is alive in this universe. The other siblings discover that the Hotel Obsidian has been turned into a memorial, Luther is alive and no longer an ape-man, and Five and Diego find their limbs restored. However, Sloane is missing, and everyone has lost their powers. As the siblings separate, a restored Reginald watches the city from a skyscraper alongside a now-restored Abigail.

Trivia[]

  • Creator Steve Blackman has admitted that this episode, “It’s ominous, and it’s terrifying”. [2]
  • In a mid-credits scene, another version of Ben reads a book on the same Seoul subway on which he was born. This might be a reference to what Five said in the first episode about there being Doppelgängers of themselves, maybe hinting at part of the plot for season 4.
  • In that same scene, a QR code on the right side of the train leads to Pogo's Tattoo store.
  • The title is a reference to Hotel Oblivion and Project Oblivion.
  • After Allison pressed the button, she is reunited with both, Ray and Claire, this might have something to do with the deal that her and Reginald made in Wedding at the End of the World.
  • Everyone loses their powers in this episode; it is unknown if Allison still has hers since she was not standing in one of the seven stars at the Parallel Hotel Oblivion.
