- The Hargreeves, Pogo, and Grace hold a funeral for Sir Reginald in the Academy's courtyard. The proceedings are fraught, leading to Luther and Diego coming to blows. During the fight, Ben's memorial statue is destroyed and Diego cuts Luther's arm with a knife, causing him to hide the wound and leave.
- Number Five ends up in Griddy's Doughnuts, where after asking a local tow truck driver for an address, he is confronted by a group of mercenaries. They want to take Number Five with them, but Five proceeds to kill them all.
- Hearing the police report about the massacre at Griddy's, Diego heads off to investigate. Viktor arrives home to find Number Five waiting for him. Five has no idea what caused it, only that it occurs in eight days' time.
- Hazel and Cha Cha arrive at a motel. They are annoyed by only one room being booked for the pair of them, and retrieve a package from the front desk. Cha Cha admonishes him for the breach in protocol, since they're required to have the case with them at all times.

Though the assassins were eventually driven out, they succeeded in abducting Klaus. They tortured him for information, before burning down the prosthetics lab that Five was trying to get information from. Klaus escaped with the help of Detective Patch, but she died in the process. Diego shut down the malfunctioning robot he knew as Mom. He later found Patch's body and, in his grief, swore vengeance. Newly escaped and armed with a Commission briefcase, Klaus accidentally traveled back to 1967 Vietnam.
- March 27, 2019: Klaus had just gotten back from what seems to be a war, as shown on his body and army jacket which was covered in war/army tags, tattoos and bloody hands. - March 29, 2019: Harold tried to help Viktor get more control of his powers in The Umbrella Academy timeline. - March 30, 2019: Allison was saved by Pogo and Grace back at the Academy. Elsewhere, Viktor found his father's journal and discovered the extent of Harold's machinations. Provoked, Viktor once again snapped and brutally killed him. Afterward, he returned to the Academy, only to be knocked unconscious and locked away by Luther. Because of this, Viktor fully gave in to his dark side and used his powers to escape her confinement.
- April 1, 2019: Now unleashed, Viktor destroyed the Academy, killing Pogo and destroying Grace/Mom in the process. Pursued by Temps Commission soldiers, the siblings went to the Icarus Theatre to confront Viktor, but were unable to stop him from firing a beam of his energy, which damaged the moon Umbrella Academy's Luther spent so much time on and sent an asteroid hurtling toward the Earth. Sparrow timeline[]
- November 13, 1963: Number Five and Hazel arrive from November 25, 1963. Hazel is shot and killed by the Swedes. Five embarks on a quest to reunite the Umbrella Academy.
- In Dallas, the two eat together and the Handler tells Lila that her new mission is to “protect Number Five at all costs”. This confuses Lila, who tells her that Five deserves to die after everything he has done to her; nonetheless, she cites that he is worth more to her alive than dead. Lila understands, and cites that she ran into some trouble at the institution, and the Handler immediately recognizes this as the Swedes. She unconvincingly tells Lila that she sent the Swedes and that they know not to harm her, but neither of the two seem convinced by this notion.
- Viktor and Five visit the hostel where Luther is staying and, whilst Five waits with the car, Viktor goes to his room to talk with him. He asks him about the apocalypse, and it is here that he learns that he caused the apocalypse indirectly. They’re interrupted before they can finish their conversation, however, by Jack who enters and demands to know why Luther threw the fight; the two are unable to reconcile their differences, however, and Jack tells Luther that they are done with one another. Luther asks Viktor to leave him alone and enforces that he cannot help him. Viktor is angry at Five for lying to her about the apocalypse and tells him that he is returning to the farm and cannot help him either, given he is keeping secrets from him. Viktor drives away leaving Five alone as he receives a smirk from Luther who witnessed the whole situation.
- November 15, 1963: Diego, Lila, Five and Elliott plan how they’ll confront Reginald again before the assassination: luckily, Five knows where he will be shortly, and shows Diego an invitation he found at the Umbrella Manufacturing Plant. Elliott instantly recognizes one of the attendees as one of “the Majestic 12”, a secret shadow government organization that they believe Reginald to be a member of. Viktor returns to the farm and embraces with Sissy, who is ecstatic to see him. Viktor promises to tell Sissy everything about his adventure over breakfast.
- Meanwhile, Klaus approaches Dave at the diner and reveals that the two know each other, and that he shouldn’t enlist in the military, despite his prior family involvement. The conversation is cut short, however, when Brian, Dave’s relative approaches and tells Klaus to leave. Brian begins throwing homophobic slurs at Klaus and forces Dave to punch him in the face, which shocks Klaus who leaves moments later as Ben watches in a state of shock. Allison arrives at Odessa's to find they are holding a meeting without her. When she enters, she is met by harsh stares from Miles and the others inside, and Ray asks if they can talk outside. Ray explains that he believes she is working for Dallas PD, or the FBI to infiltrate his movement and spy on him, and when Allison is unable to offer any other explanation, he leaves in anger, leaving her alone on the sidewalk. Feeling down from his encounter with Dave, Klaus turns to the only thing he knows: alcohol. Despite being clean for three years, Klaus is unwilling to listen to Ben who begs him to think of himself. Arriving home with his liquor, Klaus is surprised to find numerous of his supporters waiting for him; he runs away with them chasing him and is forced to throw away the liquor.
- November 19, 1963: Diego, Lila, and Five arrive at the gala and sneak their way to the entrance. Five accosts Lila and tells her that he doesn’t believe that she is on their side despite how brainwashed Diego has been towards her; she assures him that she is on their side, however, but he is reluctant to accept.
- Reeling from Jack’s treatment, Luther sits and eats an outside fast food diner when he is recognized by Allison walking past. The two embrace and talk about the lives they’ve built for themselves. Allison tells Luther that she didn’t give up on them, and assumed Five would return sometime. Luther tells Allison that all members of the Umbrella Academy are present, and when she jokes that it’s when things usually go sideways, Luther is forced to explain that they caused another apocalypse seven days from now, much to her surprise.
- As the gala heads off to a start, Five tells Lila and Diego that they should split up, with him taking the upstairs and Lila and Diego keeping an eye out downstairs; Lila tries to follow Five on the Handler’s orders, but is pulled back by Diego. Diego questions where she went the previous night, and she makes up a story about going to the pharmacy. The two dance but Diego is quickly distracted when he notices a woman with stark resemblance to his mother, Grace. He approaches the woman and after a brief conversation, it is revealed that Reginald is her date, but is in a meeting. Diego enjoys the conversation and tells Grace that it was nice meeting her.
- Viktor explains everything going on to Sissy Cooper, including the details about the Swedes coming after him, and how he fears that he is putting Harlan and her in danger by staying with them. Sissy tells him that they will go away for a little while and she will protect him, but Viktor is unwilling to take the risk. The two notice that Harlan slips out of the house and run after him, but are forced to split up when neither one of them is sure of which way he went. Viktor eventually comes across a lake and, believing that he could be at the bottom, uses his ability to part the water. He finds Harlan at the bottom and attempts to give him CPR but he is unresponsive. As he is trying to resuscitate him, he uses her powers transfer particles of energy into his body. Moments later, he is able to cough the water up and wakes up just as Sissy arrives and the two embrace.
- Luther returns to his apartment to find he has been thrown out by the landlord, Phil. He tries to reason with him, but Phil cites that Luther is on Jack Ruby’s hit list and he doesn’t too want to be on it. Luther arrives at Elliott’s store to look for Five, but is told that he has gone out with Diego.
- Viktor, meanwhile, pours Sissy a drink and the two talk about Harlan. Sissy tells Viktor about how she feels small and invisible as Carl no longer sees her and Harlan is reluctant to communicate with her. Viktor expresses that he should leave, but is caught off guard when Sissy kisses him; the two of them begin to make out. Luther and Elliott take nitrous oxide to calm their nerves and laugh about their father’s and how Luther looks like an ape. He accidentally reveals that everyone will be dead within seven days, however, which shocks and confuses Elliott.
- Five watches from a closet as the Majestic Twelve announce that they’re going to assassinate JFK in an attempt to keep him from investigating them. Five makes a sudden movement which alerts the twelve to his presence and Reginald orders they meet at the back up location. Five teleports out of the closet but is met by the Swedes who attack him. A fight breaks out and Diego is eventually dragged in but both he and Five are unable to best the Swedes. Lila notices the fighting but is forced to choose to protect Five over Diego, who watches and begs her to help him. After Lila assists Five, Diego is easily able to best the final Swede. Five tries to catch Grace and Reginald before he departs to the back up location and shouts something from one of Homer's works to him in Ancient Greek that gauges his attention. He gets in the car and drives off anyway, telling Grace when she asks that it was nobody important
- November 20, 1963: Klaus meanwhile has fallen back into old habits and started drinking again much to Ben’s dismay. Allison tells Klaus that she won’t be an enabler when he asks her to drink with him, but after he remarks that her marriage is falling apart, she jokes that she has much better alcohol that they can drink and that they should do it right if they’re going to day-drink.
- Viktor and Sissy lie in bed together and Viktor asks Sissy if she would like to talk about what is going on; Sissy remarks that she doesn’t, and suggests that they get away from everything. The encounter between the two is cut short, however, when Carl arrives home earlier than expected.
- Number Five talks with Diego and Luther about Reginald and how they’ll try to get close with him given how difficult it has been lately. Luther reveals that when he first arrived in Dallas, he took a bus to the Umbrella Academy and tried to talk to Reginald about the Academy, but was mocked and turned away. The three of them decide that it is time to get the Academy back together again and avert the apocalypse. Carl tells Sissy, Harlan and Viktor about the deal he closed at the company and becomes visibly excited about it. His excitement turns to lust, however, and his affection towards Sissy begins to annoy her and Viktor, who’s powers blip and he shatters the windows to the house. Harlan understands that Viktor caused this and tries to calm and comfort him.
- Lila is furious with the Handler and questions her over the Swedes and their interference with her attempts to protect Five. Nonetheless, she hands over Diego’s knife which the Handler asked her to retrieve previously. The Handler reveals that the Temps Commission has no idea that they’re in Dallas, 1963, but doesn’t reveal anything further — she remarks that if Lila needed to know, she would’ve told her. Back at Elliott’s, the Umbrella Academy are finally reunited. Allison is wary of Viktor, but realizes he is harmless without his memory and the two embrace. Five asks if Ben is present, but Klaus remarks that he isn’t as ghosts can’t time-travel much to Ben’s dismay who witnesses the conversation. Meanwhile, the Handler and Lila visit the house that the Swedes are hiding out in. Lila posts a transmission down the chimney and when the Swede’s open it, they find a photograph of Diego, their next target and a location.
- Five explains to the Umbrella Academy that the world will end in six days unless they stop it and at the moment they only know one thing: their father is involved. They’re unsure, however, if Reginald is planning to kill JFK, or has some other involvement in it. Diego suggests that they kill Reginald, whereas Five tells everyone they should talk to him and find out what is going on before the apocalypse. Luther is reluctant, however, and remarks that they should all grow up before storming out of the building with Diego in chase. On the way, he knocks Five out of the way who travels out of the building to find Lila waiting for him.
- Diego tries to convince Luther to stay, however Luther is concerned that he already caused the apocalypse once. The two talk, but are interrupted when a car approaches and the driver hands them a letter from Reginald inviting them to a dinner. At Odessa’s, Viktor, Klaus, and Allison talk about the end of the world and what they should do about it. They finally decide that if the world is going to end, they should have no more secrets. Klaus decides to face his cult, Viktor to tell Sissy how he feels and Allison to reveal her powers to Ray. The three dance after copious amounts of alcohol and Viktor remarks that his family is awesome. The Swedes track what they believe to be Diego on their mission from the Commission. They find themselves in a forest where Oscar quickly realizes they have been misled and are in fact tracking Diego’s knife. Unbeknownst to him, Oscar has stepped on a landmine and is blown to pieces in front of Axel and Otto. Five follows Lila to an abandoned warehouse where the two fight as Five attempts to keep his promise that he would kill Lila if the two should ever cross paths again. The fight is even, but Five is able to eventually get the upper hand on Lila and, with his foot to her throat, remarks that she can come out now; the Handler is surprised to find that Five figured out she is still alive and connected to Lila.
- Viktor arrives at the ranch to tell Sissy how he really feels, but finds that Sissy has slept with Carl again. He tells Sissy that the two of them can leave and be happy, but Sissy is reluctant to accept and tells her that she needs more time to figure things out. Viktor tells her they don’t have much time, but cannot explain further what he means. Viktor walks away with Sissy shouting after him
- November 21, 1963: The members of the Umbrella Academy arrive at Reginald's house for the supper. Each of the siblings disagrees about what they should talk with Reginald about. Shortly after, Reginald arrives and asks "Who are you?". Five explains that he is their father and that he adopted them to save the world. Reginald is reluctant to believe them and asks for proof that they have powers. Five breaks down all their powers and Viktor proves his despite everyone telling him not to. Diego accuses his father of trying to assassinate President Kennedy but his father reminds him that he has suffered from induced paranoia and has recently left the hospital. Diego shows his father a photo of him at the same spot when the President is shot. Reginald calls Diego a desperate, delusional man which hurts him. Five raises how there will be doomsday in five days but their father mocks them and tells the group to do something about it if it’s real. Ben then tries to use Klaus' body by possessing him to speak to his father but fails. Reginald has a private drink with Five and calls him the most sensible of the group. Five asks for help and asks his father what he knows about time travel. Reginald suggests that instead of traveling back years, Five should travel back seconds. He states that so much can change in a matter of seconds which is not very helpful for Five who is trying to change more than a few seconds. Five states that he gave his father a hard time as a kid and the both of them have a drink.
- Elliott is attacked by Axel and Otto who ask for Diego's location. Elliott is reluctant to reveal anything and is attacked by the two men.
- November 22, 1963: Grace sneaks into Reginald's office at the Umbrella Manufacturing facility and is privy to numerous documents pertaining to the president, such as maps of where he will be standing. Reginald walks in on Grace reading these documents and questions her over it. She returns the questions and tells him that she wants to believe him but cannot given the evidence against him. When Reginald tells her that one day he will explain to her, she tells him that she cannot wait that long and walks away.
- Diego realizes that JFK is still a few minutes away and that he will be able to save him, despite Allison telling him not to. Diego explains that saving JFK doesn't cause the apocalypse, and that his death will be for nothing. Present Five tries to place previous Five in the vortex. Older Five agrees to go through the vortex if younger Five gives him the perfect math. Five remarks that he wrote down the math wrong by placing the decimal point in the wrong place. Five and Luther succeed, but damage the briefcase they were going to use to get back to 2019. Five and Luther watch from one angle as the rest of the other members of the Academy watch from the FBI building as the president turns onto the street. Diego tries to intercept Reginald but finds it is a decoy and the president is assassinated, much to Diego's dismay.
- President Kennedy is shot in Dallas, due to involvement of the organization Majestic 12. Sir Reginald Hargreeves later quits the organization due to anger as the president was not supposed to have died, but when Hoyt threatens to keep him on board though blackmail Reginald kills Hoyt and all the members of the organization thus showing them his true powers.
- November 23, 1963: The Umbrella Academy fight the Handler, Lila, and the rest of the Commission at the Coopers' farm, resulting in a minor alternate timeline in which the Handler shoots them all, which is reversed by Five. They are named the Sparrow Academy.
- The same day that the children were born, Sissy died of cancer in Oakland, California under an assumed name. Harlan's grief over his mother's death caused him to unleash a psychic blast that killed 27 of the 43 mothers of the Umbrella Academy before they were born, causing a grandfather paradox.
