Marcus Hargreeves is one of the 16 super-powered babies born on October 1, 1989 in the Sparrow timeline. He was adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves and became a member of the Sparrow Academy.
Biography[]
Marcus was born on October 1, 1989, one of sixteen children born to women who had not been pregnant at the start of the day. He and six other of these children was adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves and raised as a member of the Sparrow Academy, a team of superheroes.[1]
In 2014, Reginald's long-time assistant and friend Pogo left the Academy after a dispute with Hargreeves because Pogo didn’t agree with what Hargreeves actual plan for the children was. While the Sparrows were all devastated at Pogo's departure, they were given medication by their former mentor to subdue Reginald. With this, Marcus and the other Sparrows spent the next five years running the Sparrow Academy as they saw fit.[2]
Meeting The Umbrella Academy[]
Marcus and the other Sparrows met the Umbrella's. The teams both started to argue one and other until Ben punched Klaus in the face. When Luther stepped in to defend him Marcus pushed him starting the fight. Marcus and Luther were equal in strength and matched each others move but Marcus eventually overpowered Luther. Marcus continuously punched Luther and started to kick on him when Luther was on the ground. Eventually Luther ran away. Later on when the Sparrows were training he scolded them by saying how they could get overpowered that easily and it could ruin their reputation. Marcus then summoned Reginald Hargreeves to tell them the Umbrella's moves. While Marcus was training he saw Viktor in the sidewalk and decided to talk with him. When Marcus and Viktor met up they both decided they wanted peace. However Viktor needed something that was still left in the Sparrow's house, the briefcase. Viktor warned Marcus to not underestimate him. If Marcus didn't oblige he would call Marcus in on a fight and humiliate him in public ruining their whole reputation. Unbeknownst to them Fei and Ben Hargreeves were watching Marcus the whole time.[citation needed]

Death[]
While searching for the briefcase, Marcus discovered Grace scribbling a bunch of symbols onto the floor with chalk and he asked her what she was doing she said she was worshipping. Marcus turned the corner to find a ball of energy in the basement and went to touch it as the energy wave from the ball absorbed back into it itself Marcus disintegrated in front of Grace. [1]

Marcus Hargreeves is "a natural born leader that oozes confidence and keeps the family together who is equally as charming as he is chiseled and colossus."[3]

- Superhuman Strength: Marcus possessed immense strength similar to Luther.
- Enhanced Resilience: Marcus has enhanced resilience, as he's been shown to withstand Luther's punches with little pain.
Abilities[]
- Skilled Leadership: Marcus is a natural-born leader, easily replacing Reginald as the Sparrow Academy's authority after Pogo left.
- Expert Combatant: Marcus, like most of the Sparrows, is a highly skilled fighter, being able to overpower Luther with relative ease.
- Peak Human Agility and Reflexes: As a consequence of his super strength, along with his training, Marcus has demonstrated some heightened agility and reflexes. He is introduced doing handstand push-ups on the roof of the academy before backflipping, landing perfectly on his feet.
