SPOILERS AHEAD
Following the events in 1963, Harlan and Sissy live constantly on the move due to the lack of control Harlan has over his powers. When Sissy dies in 1989, Harlan unleashes a devastating burst of energy.
Five and Lila discover that the Commission has been destroyed by an ice age and that most of its employees, including Herb, have been killed by the flaming ball of energy. They discover that the founder of the Commission is an elderly version of Five, who warns them not to save the world before dying.
While Viktor reconnects with Harlan, Allison tortures Sloane on the briefcase's whereabouts. When Sloane reveals that she does not know where it is, a frustrated Allison and Diego take up vigilantism to cope. Viktor and Luther return Sloane, as well as Jayme and Alphonso's bodies, to the Sparrows as a peace offering, but Ben demands they hand over Harlan as well. While cleaning the hotel as punishment for their recklessness, Stan and Klaus discover the White Buffalo Suite. Inside, Klaus finds a buffalo head mounted above the mantel and is killed when Stan accidentally fires a spear gun towards him.
Harlan discovers the files on the Umbrellas' mothers and reveals to Viktor that when Sissy died, his outburst of power inadvertently killed their mothers and caused the grandfather paradox.
