"Waitaminute, aren't you supposed to love all of us?"
"Hell no! Where'd you get that idea? I made ya so's I kin pick and choose... and you don't rub me right, son.
"
—The Séance and God[src]

God is the creator of the universe, the counterpart of the Devil, and the manager of Heaven. He created the universe and humanity so he could "pick and choose" between them and sends people he doesn't like to Hell or back to Earth, like Klaus Hargreeves.

Biography[]

Early life[]

God existed at the dawn of time, in the void where there was nothing. Presumably because he was bored, God created the universe, keeping a close and watchful eye on Earth, with Heaven as his home. He and his counterpart, the Devil, formed an agreement: the would moderate the afterlife, and anyone God liked who came through stayed in Heaven, while anyone he didn't like went to the Devil in Hell. At an unknown point, God took up the appearance of a cowboy, with Heaven looking like a colorless desert.[1]

Meeting Klaus Hargreeves[]

Billions of years after first creating the universe, the soul of Klaus Hargreeves made its way to Heaven. Seeing Klaus's pale skin, God assumed the sun had died on Earth and that he needed to fix it. He then decided he didn't like Klaus, likely due to his connections with the dead and the afterlife, and that he'd have to go back. God left the Séance with a last piece of advice to stay off the drugs and kill his killers, then sent him back to Earth to live out the rest of his existence.[1]
