Carla is one of the 43 super-powered children born in 1950[citation needed] and a member of the Sparrows.
Biography[]
Carla first appears in Free. While Vanya and Mom are at the Eiffel tower reenacting a scene from the former's childhood, Vanya is thrown off her wheelchair by Mom. As Vanya exclaims that she can't walk, Carla appears from the crowd and says "I don't believe you", and she is suddenly able to walk again. When Vanya asks how she did it, Carla replies "I said so", and tells Vanya to follow her back home.
In The Fear You Cannot Speak, Carla and Vanya are now in Norway walking up a snowy hill. While Vanya keeps asking questions that Carla refuses to answer, they reach the top of the hill and see a building in the distance. Vanya asks Carla what's in there, and she replies "Family".
In Reunion, as Vanya and Carla enter the building, they are greeted by Mom, who tells the former that there are some special people that'd like to meet her. Much later, Carla arrives with the rest of the Sparrows to help the Umbrellas apprehend the villains that escaped from Oblivion.

- Healing - In Free, Carla was able to make White Violin walk again, suggesting that she may possibly have the power to heal others who are sick or injured.

- Carla is one of two members of the Sparrows to not appear in the TV series of Umbrella Academy, the other being "sparrow with sweatshirt".
