The Umbrella Academy (comic)

The names of the Sparrows in the comics haven't been revealed yet (except for Carla's), but given their similar powers to the Sparrows in the show, I think we could infer what some of their names are:

• The Number One seen in the comics has super strength and is the team's leader, much like Marcus.

• The Sparrow with shades can transform into a murder of crows, an ability that's very similar to Fei's crow summoning. This means that she's probably their Number Three.

• The Sparrow blob's "melty" appearance makes me think he'd be Alphonso's counterpart (His face is very scarred), making him the comic Sparrow's Number Four.

• The blonde Sparrow and the Sparrow with the sweatshirt are trickier, but I'd say that the former is Sloane (Sloane is shown floating in her character poster, and the blonde Sparrow is always seen floating alongside Number One, so maybe they have some kind of gravity power?), while the later is Jayme (Jayme is described as being a loner, and the sweatshirt Sparrow looks pretty gloomy and disinterested). They'd be Sparrows Number Five and Six, respectively.

• The cube in the comics is Christopher (Sparrow Number Seven), for obvious reasons (Though it's interesting that the Sparrow cube seems to be metallic while Christopher is more fleshy).

• This means that Carla actually has no counterpart in the show, since her spot as a possible Number Two is instead taken by Ben.

Hi everyone! I heard that in the comics, Diego could hold his breath for a really long time (he may or may not be able to do it for a infinite amount of time, i'm not sure). Do you think that he might use that power in S3 of the Netflix adaption? Maybe someone tries to suffocate him and it doesn't work, or he might have to use his power in a situation where he could drown? Idk, lemme know what you think. :)

Why is Diego in the comics called Kraken?

Don't get me wrong, after reading and falling in love with the comics, I was disappointed when the trailer for the show I read these comics FOR looked like it sucked all the weirdness out of it, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was adapted, even a little better than the source material. However, there are a LOT of people who think the show is awful because of how different it is from the comics, and given how these people are many and loud, it's only a matter of time before we get a more faithful adaptation, probably in the form of a film, and almost certainly shit compared to the masterpiece that is the Netflix series. Still, I'd be open to it. I think multiple interpretations are nice to have, and it could offer an interesting contrast to Steve Blackman's show.

And i also wanna start reading the comics, i got a sample in kindle and i rlly liked that but its also kinda expensive for me so idk if ill be able to read the whole thing... soo ok bye

I just went to my local comic book shop and boom, found this baby. It’s volume one of Umbrella Academy. It’s suuuper heavy and comes with a little poster thing. This thing is actually huge it’s way over a foot tall and maybe 8 ft length wise?
