As much as I enjoy the series, I think I found some plot holes for Season 2. Here are my questions and confusions:
Five was able to open a portal for his younger elderly self to jump through to 2019. If he could be able to open portals, then why didn’t he do that earlier for the rest of his siblings? Why did he need the briefcase?
The Commission board of directors has a meeting in 1982, where Five slaughtered them. I know that this series follows the classic rule of time travel: Changing the past can change the future and stuff. But If the new apocalypse happened in 1963, then how could humanity still be alive in 1982?
When the elderly Five was pushed into 2019, the portal ensured that he won’t be de-aged. As I said in the previous question, how does humanity still exist after 1963?
How does the elderly (younger) Five not travelling to 2019 prevent the existence of the teenage (older) Five?
If humanity doesn’t exist after 1963, then the Umbrella Academy’s parents won’t exist either, and therefore they would cease to exist. However, the bullet point above is an example of how a character would cease to exist. Why?
